Beach cleaning action

As part of the movement Let’s Do It Greece, OMÚ joined forces with Α.Τ.Α.Χ.Τ.Ο.Ι.  and DanziAmo dance school to run a beach cleaning activity in Kokkini Hani Arena beach. Upon arrival, it was truly motivating to find a couple of people who had decided to clean the beach without prior  knowledge of our event – as a result, they happily joined us.

The amount of both larger items as well as micro-plastics was devastating, the the most popular items being straws, bottle tops and glow sticks. After just a few hours, approx. 400kilos of rubbish had been collected by approx. 40 volunteers and the results made the local media!
