Easily give (jiv) what you no longer need
JivApp will be the first app in Greece that can help you easily donate anything you no longer need – and help others in doing so. The app will connect, in a simple and smart way, those who want to donate items they no longer use (jivers) with organizations, social groups, and institutions that truly need them (takers).
An innovative idea by OMÚ, which (after years of preparation) is becoming a reality.
JivApp was created to solve a problem we have all experienced:
Do you have a bag of clothes that no longer fit you? Have you found sheets that could be useful in an animal shelter? Do you have toys or books now that the kids have grown up?
And yet… you don’t know where, when, or to whom to give them.
The app comes to put an end to this confusion.
With just a few steps, you will be able to:
- see which organizations in your area accept these items,
- find out when donation drop-off is possible,
- see the exact drop-off location on a map (with Google Maps integration),
- deliver your items to the places where they will truly be used.
And the best?
During its pilot phase, JivApp will be completely free for everyone.
At a time when overconsumption and the thoughtless disposal of items burden the planet, JivApp reminds us of something simple:
What you don’t need can become valuable for someone else.
At the same time, we:
- reduce waste,
- give useful items a longer life,
- support people, animals, and organizations in need.
JivApp is an app of social solidarity, care, and environmental awareness – all in one.
It will show you how and where to give, quickly and without hassle. Become part of this change.
JivApp will be available from 2026 and aims to become the largest digital giving network in Greece.
